Invest to invest or invest in your health?

At a recent conference I attended people were pitching their training sessions on how to make and invest your money. Naturally these trainings are not free but were going at the special rate of US$697- that's about $930 Canadian. Add the tax to that and you're looking at $1050 Canadian. Of course, it's not guaranteed that you will actually be able to invest nor make money from what you learn in those 7 hours and I'm sure you'll have to buy even more for books and programs to really learn how to do it.

But it got me thinking...

Is it better to invest in one of those training sessions that last 7 hours where there's no guarantee on my return on investment or to turn around and know that for $1050 Canadian I can get 327 highly nutritious and balanced meals that will cover me for over 5 months (based on having 2 of those meals a day)?

I think I'll stick to investing in something that has a guarantee... nutrition to keep me going instead!
